Hello everyone, I am new to this so apologize now if I am doing this wrong My Galaxy has suddenly decided to turn over and over but not actually fire up if you push it it will go?? any clues?? thank you x

Hi and welcome to the forum

If your car is starting when push it to bump start it, then it sounds like your battery is low or knackered or as suggested starter,the engine has to turn over at a minimum of 300RPM if it dont it wont

Hi thanks for your answers..... .....I had a brand new battery fitted a year ago could it still be that?? could it poss be something to do with the immoboliser?? sorry if I seem vague :) ;) :blink: :wacko:

try starting with jump leads when started check alternator is charging min 13.6 v at battery then after a couple of hours stood you should still have a reading of over 12v if less battery u/s check all earth connections after trying to start are any hot ?

check also starter moter connections at same time hot terminals show bad connection
